Fiduciary Risk Officer (UK)

Financial transparency and accountability are of central importance to us to ensure the funds that we managed are used for intended purposes, are managed transparently and effectively and are accounted for in keeping with good international practice.

Due to our expansion we wish to strengthen our fiduciary risk team with the recruitment of a Fiduciary Risk Officer (FRO) to work across all our funds and oversee a grant portfolio ensuring that fiduciary risk and due diligence work streams are proactively delivered and that the financial management of grants is in keeping with acceptable standards.

This is an opportunity for someone with well-honed financial and risk management skills to take a first step in to international development within a financial role. The role requires direct engagement with grant holders and beneficiaries, as well as the opportunity for international travel.

You will need to be:

  • qualified in finance/ accountancy with strong experience in risk management, due diligence, audit or financial management
  • a good communicator and experienced in proposal writing
  • an excellent team player who can thrive in a fast-moving and growing organisation with the ability to work to deadlines
  • interested in international development and respectful of civil society groups who work on challenging subjects
  • well organized with the ability to work across different teams and with different cultures.
  • ideally fluent in spoken and written French (not essential)
