David Daniels, Director

David Daniels MannionDanielsDavid is the founder and Director of MannionDaniels, responsible for the strategic direction and overall management of the company. He is also the Fund Director for UK Aid Direct – DFID’s central funding mechanism for awarding grants to small and medium sized UK and international Civil Society Organisations working to reduce poverty overseas and achieve the Global Goals. David is an experienced and respected public health specialist with over 25 years’ experience working in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. From the mid-1980s, David worked in numerous humanitarian settings including Darfur and Somalia. His professional focus then shifted to working on the transition to development in post-conflict and fragile states such as Sudan, Somalia, and Cambodia. He subsequently undertook a period of health and population advisory work for DFID and the EC, on issues including HIV/AIDS, reproductive and maternal health, before moving into the private sector. David currently provides strategic advice to governments, international organisations and businesses on international development issues such as health systems strengthening, aid effectiveness and organisational management.
