Gem is an experienced project and fund manager with a master's degree in social development. She spent four years in Malawi managing a community development non-governmental organisation (NGO) and she has designed and managed education, community health and gender-based programmes. She has an education background, teaching primary in the UK, and is currently working across the Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office's two flagship civil society funds managed through MannionDaniels - UK Aid Match and UK Aid Direct.
